The Health Friendly Food Alliance (HFFA) is a nonprofit organization working to ensure every community has reliable access to nutritious food.

Although many organizations offer food-based financial incentives, few are able to adequately scale their programs because they lack the tools necessary to leverage existing grocery retail infrastructure. HFFA, in partnership with Sifter, is addressing this gap.

Through this partnership, Sifter Solutions provides community-based organizations with a significant discount to its personalized nutrition technology which leverages the healthy assortment and low pricing of SNAP-authorized food retailers.  

Together, we are working at the intersection of health, food, and community impact to ensure food benefit incentives put more food on the table of those in need.

Technology That Powers Food Access at Scale

Through HFFA, nonprofit community-based organizations now have access to:

• Nutrition-integrated websites for food prescriptions, counseling, pickup, and delivery.
• Eligibility-based shopper tools, such as Sifter’s Shopper Companion, for making healthy choices at the shelf in all food aisles and before checkout.
• Free white label desktop and mobile app that filters foods based on health needs and personal preferences.
• Online and instore shopping solutions available at over 30,000 stores nationwide, identifying SNAP-eligible and FDA-aligned healthy products.

All tools meet national nutrition and access standards and support specific needs such as maternal health, GLP-1 compatibility, clean label shopping, and more.
