As Sifter co-founder and Chief Nutrition Officer, Judy Seybold leads the nutrition innovation, government affairs, and scientific disciplines behind Sifter's Nutrition as a Service® digital technology for health and retail organizations. She brings regulatory rigor, clinical research expertise, and experience developing nutrition applications that deliver scalable Food as Medicine solutions. A retail nutrition pioneer, Judy has developed hundreds of metadata-driven applications and consumer shelf-edge programs that support medically tailored grocery interventions. While in R&D, Judy championed nutrition business strategies that included approval of Vitamin D in cheese products, oat health claims, and AHA certifications. Over several decades, Judy has helped grow healthy brands for Fortune 100 companies (Quaker Oats and Kraft Foods); worked with numerous health start-ups (SPINS, ItemMaster, InteliChoice, Label Insight, healthyAisles); and managed several NIH-funded research studies while at Feinberg Northwestern Medical School. She has an MS in Food Science from the University of Illinois and is a Licensed Registered Dietitian and Certified Lifestyle Counselor. Judy represents Sifter on the Tufts FNII Food as Medicine and Nutrition Security working groups, which are creating solutions to support the White House Initiative on Hunger, Nutrition and Health. She also serves as a Program Advisor for FoodMed Certified, the first certification and validation initiative for Food as Medicine programs.

Andrew, CEO, co-founded Sifter with brother Thomas to follow his passion of making healthy eating easy for everyone. No stranger to innovative shopping platforms, the brothers created the world’s first e-commerce company, Peapod, in 1989. It sold to Royal Ahold in 2001, after which Andrew led Peapod-spinoff ItemMaster, a product data and dietary attribution platform. His early career included marketing positions at P&G and Kraft. He’s a Wesleyan University, CT, grad with an economics and econometrics degree. Andrew, who follows a low FODMAP diet, enjoys many sports, particularly hockey, foiling and kiteboarding, and a Chowdy lifestyle.

Thomas co-founded Sifter with his brother, Andrew. As Chief Product Officer, he has a passion for creating unique online experiences. This zeal started with Peapod, one of the first and oldest e-commerce companies, launched in 1989 with Andrew. The brothers also co-founded ItemMaster, which sold in 2019. Thomas’ career has focused on advanced software development, and he has a MS in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute and a BA from Wesleyan University, CT. His favorite sport is kiteboarding, and he plays in a rock band, Who’s Your Daddy. He currently sifts on a combination of Diabetes, Gluten Free, and Dairy-None.

Jon has 30 years of experience in systems and data engineering at Andersen Consulting (Accenture) and Peapod. Today he’s the driving force behind Sifter’s unique product discovery platform. Over the years he has worked with a vast number of databases to improve people’s lives through ecommerce. Jon has a BS from Purdue in Restaurant and Hotel Management and an MS in Systems Strategy and Management from Northwestern. Though never able to find perfection in his work, golf game or his version of veal marsala, Jon strives for it in everything he does.

Tim has over 30 years of industry experience architecting and implementing scalable, consumer-facing eCommerce and Digital Music Service platforms at Peapod and MusicNow. In his role as Chief Technology Officer, Tim is driving the architecture and development of Sifter's platform of APIs and microservices that power its service and third-party integrators. He's a North Central College graduate with Computer Science & Accounting degrees. Tim enjoys spending time with his family and congregation, playing drums and guitar, and perfecting his jerky and smoker recipes.

Pierce heads Sifter’s robust and growing content development team. A journalist and media professional, Pierce’s background is focused on creating, growing, and modernizing companies and brands that enrich people's lives. As head of EnsembleIQ’s Enterprise Solutions, he worked with most major CPGs and retailers to create brand strategy and messaging. Pierce is also a member of the adjunct faculty at Northwestern U. and is a seasoned speaker and writer. He holds an MSJ from NU and a BA from Middlebury. Family time and the great outdoors are his free-time passions.

John leads Sifter's go-to-market activities and keeps the internal trains running on time so that Sifter's innovative power reaches all the stakeholders it can. Having operating experience across eCommerce, retail, technology, and telecom, John helped lead fast-growing companies like Peapod, Sourcelight Technologies, Highland Ventures, and ItemMaster. John has a BS in Computer Science/Software Engineering from Michigan Tech University. He loves skiing, hiking, and the never-ending search for the perfect craft beer. John sifts for products that are clean-style, keto-friendly, and grassfed.

Dave leads Sifter's customer acquisition and satisfaction journey across retail and CPG. He is a seasoned CPG food marketer, with brand marketing experience at Kellogg’s, KraftHeinz and Unilever. He has led CPG marketing service agency assignments as VP in strategy, digital loyalty, social media influencer and digital coupon media at Upromise/SavingStar, Savings.Com and Cox Media. Dave is a U. Wisconsin business grad and enjoys spending time with his family and playing guitar. As a swimmer, racquetball player, kayaker, skateboarder and windsurfer, he sifts for protein-rich products that are heart healthy.

Laurie is our linchpin between data and decisions. She oversees Sifter’s product data collection and its use to create analytics that drive data-related strategic change. Laurie came to Sifter from Peapod (Digital Labs), where she served for 20+ years in a variety of advanced analytics and digital merchandising positions of increasing responsibility. She received her BS degree in Business Administration from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and her MS in Business Information Technology from DePaul University. Laurie sifts for foods that are clean-style, low sugar, and humanely raised.

As head of HR and Customer Care, Kate plays a key role in helping build Sifter's team and culture. Prior to Sifter, Kate worked at several companies, including Aon Hewitt, Appirio, and Coyote Logistics. She's also been an entrepreneur: creating a successful hydroponic farm in Colorado's Rocky Mountains. Kate has a BS in Exercise Science from Indiana University, and a Health & Wellness coaching certification from Emory University. "Chowdy" to Kate means running, playing tennis, and golf, and spending time with her three teenage daughters. She sifts for foods that are vegetarian, heart-healthy, and gluten-free.

Kevin is responsible for selling Sifter's data and data management services to retailers and health platforms. He brings a lifelong passion for fitness and healthy eating to the Sifter team. Kevin has spent the last decade of his career with the American Heart Association, and more recently with NielsenIQ and Label Insight, selling enriched product data to retailers to meet consumer demand for personalized, healthy product options. He is a Texas Tech University graduate with a B.A. in English and Technical Writing specialization. Kevin follows the paleo diet and enjoys several sports including hiking, biking, and golf.

A graduate of Art History and Design from DePaul University, Daniel has worked in large and small ad agencies, at startups and corporations, and as an independent consultant. Most recently, Daniel was the Senior User Experience Designer at Peapod in Chicago. He is passionate about solving problems with efficient, collaborative, and data-driven methods. Daniel loves baseball and pizza and has an excellent Uber rating.

A graduate in Computer Science from the University of Maryland, Vlad specialized in Human Computer Interaction and Quality Enhancement. He's passionate about technology and design, especially in building interfaces that surprise and delight. Vlad tries to eat organic and loves the outdoors: he's happiest when shredding powder down a mountain slope or exploring a tropical reef with his wife.

Olga is our head of Quality Assurance. She comes to us from Peapod, where she was a hands-on manager leading manual and automation testing for more than 10 years. Olga is a DePaul University graduate with an MS in Computer Science. At Sifter, Olga is keen on testing both the consumer-facing application and the back-end services. When Olga isn't digging into technical specifications or investigating a bug, she enjoys rollerblading and baking fancy desserts. Her dietary preferences: non-GMO, organic, gluten-free, and dairy-free. Olga is happiest when on a boat, offshore sailing.

Rosemary completed her undergraduate at the University of Pittsburgh followed by her dietetic internship at UChicago Medicine Ingalls Memorial Hospital. She combines her knowledge of nutrition and regulatory expertise to verify SiftTag accuracy. In addition, Rosemary currently serves as the President-Elect for the Chicago Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. In her free time, she loves a good hot yoga class or playing with her cat Pesto. Rosemary resides in Chicago and sifts on the Mediterranean-Style diet.

Finley completed her B.S. in Food Science with a concentration in Nutrition and Dietetics from Clemson University. She went on to complete her M.S. in Nutritional and Food Science and her dietetic internship from West Virginia University. She uses her nutrition knowledge to verify SiftTag accuracy, allowing consumers to shop with confidence. She enjoys gardening, trips to the lake, and eating flexitarian and Mediterranean. She lives in her home state of South Carolina with her husband, daughter, and doodle.

A registered dietitian, Tammy has 20+ years of experience in nutrition and database management in the child nutrition regulations area and food service industries. At Sifter, Tammy is responsible for SiftTag allergen and dietary review and accuracies. Tammy is a foodie at heart who's been known to pick vacation destinations based on the cuisines she'll be able to experience. When shopping for her own kitchen pantry, Tammy sifts on Women's Health-Midlife and Whole Grain.

As part of the Nutrition Innovation & Policy team at Sifter Solutions, Jessica Tea, MBA, RDN, is a Senior Nutrition Specialist and a nutrition subject matter expert on Sifter’s food as medicine digital solutions. She has a BS in Clinical Nutrition from UC Davis and completed the joint MBA/dietetic internship program at Dominican University. As a dietitian, she has honed her skills in various practice settings, providing medical nutrition therapy. Jessica’s passion for nutrition, technology, and health has led her to the digital health space.

Leona is co-owner of Iron Pines Services, a small tech company responsible for cleaning up, validating, and entering all the nutritional data used by Sifter. Her dedicated (and growing) group of 10 work hand in hand with Sifter IT, Data, and Nutrition to bring "best in brand" clean and verified product nutritional information to our customers. In her free time at home in Montana, Leona and her husband love to drive all over the Rocky Mountains while talking about the latest baking show and their new whole-foods lifestyle.
