Today, Arkansas became the first state in the nation to implement a SNAP Nutrition Waiver restricting the purchase of non-nutritious products with SNAP benefits that includes a way for both grocers and their customers to easily determine eligibility. That solution is SNAP Companion, a custom app that helps shoppers identify restricted products, and offers a list of SNAP eligible substitutes.
